Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems is seeking Field Service Technicians to service standby generators across the Northeast. You’ll gain specialized training to transition into the power generation industry, with a path for long-term career growth in a supportive, family-style company.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, and customer-facing communication, often requiring on-call availability and tool ownership to keep every site running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience with standby generators (8kW-1mW) and residential/industrial gens.
• Must have OSHA 10 or ability to obtain one.
• Valid DOT Card or ability to obtain one and a valid driver’s license.
• Own tools (multi-meter, hand-tools, etc.) for field work.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems (Ranging from 8kW-1mW).
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, load-bank testing and start-ups on generators.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs and submit work orders.
