Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems is seeking Field Service Technicians to service standby generators across the Northeast. You will work on engines, electrical systems, and heavy equipment, with training provided to transition into the power generation industry.

A company vehicle is provided, plus training and advancement opportunities. The role emphasizes on-site field service, excellent customer communication, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

Experience with engines, electrical systems or heavy equipment
Experience with residential or industrial generators
Own tools and ability to participate in on-call rotation
Excellent communication and customer service skills
OSHA 10 certification or ability to attain one
DOT card or ability to attain one

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems (8kW–1MW)
Troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, load-bank testing and start-ups on generators
Prepare accurate quotes for repairs and complete work orders
Participate in on-call rotating schedule
Provide exceptional communication to customers
