Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems is hiring Field Service Technicians to service standby generators across the Northeast. You’ll work with engines, electrical systems, and heavy equipment, with specialized training provided to transition into the power generation industry.

We value safety, customer service, and reliable on-site performance. This role involves an on-call rotating schedule and requires you to provide your own tools; a company vehicle and benefits are offered to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with standby generator service or similar engine/electrical work.
• Experience with engines, electrical systems, or heavy equipment.
• OSHA 10 certification or the ability to obtain one.
• DOT card or ability to obtain one and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotating schedule.
• Must provide own tools (multi-meter, hand tools).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems (8kW–1MW).
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, load-bank test and startup generators.
• Prepare accurate quotes and complete work orders.
• Serve residential or industrial generators and communicate with customers.
