Job summary

PCP, part of Pioneer Power Solutions Inc., is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Florida to service, repair, and test a range of generator sets. You will troubleshoot engines, controllers, electrical gear, and perform load bank tests in residential and commercial settings.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ field experience with industrial power generation, own tools, and the ability to lift 75 lbs. A strong work ethic and effective communication in English are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with industrial power generation sets or similar skills.
• Experience with diesel and natural/LP gas engines, electrical switch gear, and automatic transfer switches.
• Must have your own set of general tools.
• Use of computers/mobile devices for web based service & work order system.
• Must be physically able to lift 75lbs.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and repairs on generators of all makes and kW sizes.
• Inspect, Repair, Service and Start-Up Load Bank Test on equipment.
• Troubleshoot generator components including engine, alternator, controllers, wiring, safety devices, battery and cooling systems.
• Start-up and load bank test residential and commercial emergency generators.
• Apply technical skills to identify problems and determine corrective action.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines (e.g., Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU, Volvo).
• Complete field service reports (FSRs) daily.
