Zusammenfassung

Integrated Power Services is hiring a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field across residential, commercial, and industrial sites in Florida. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires 3+ years driving with a valid license, the ability to work after hours, and the physical capacity to handle

Qualifikationen

• Technical school diploma in generators, diesel power, or related electric power tech preferred.
• Some experience in generator repair or maintenance preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude can substitute for formal training.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• 3+ years driving with a valid license.
• Clean driving record with DOT medical eligibility.
• Ability to work after hours and on-call.
• Able to read schematics and manuals.
• Lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Comfort working in physical, adverse weather.

Aufgaben

• Perform preventive maintenance including oil, filters, and spark plugs.
• Conduct visual inspections of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Clean oil, fuel, air filters and cooling system, and unit exterior.
• Test load bank, ATS, and function.
• Troubleshoot alternators, wiring, switches, switchgear, batteries, engines.
• Diagnose failures using multimeters and meters.
• Commissioning and start-ups: review designs, test switchgear, program control panels, network.
• Brand coverage includes Kohler, CAT, Cummins, Generac, Deere, Onan, MTU, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Detroit Diesel, Asco, Atlas Copco.
• Explain issues and resolutions clearly to customers.
• Document completed work with reports.
• Operate company vehicle safely; maintain inventory and safety checks.
