Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Roseville, MN is hiring for a production technician on 3rd shift. You will perform cylinder testing, operate acetylene generators and compressors, and fill cylinders according to strict plant guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine tests on cylinders before filling.
• Operate and maintain acetylene generators, compressors and related equipment.
• Fill and process acetylene cylinders per plant guidelines.
• Verify cylinder quantities, styles and products and replenish as needed.
• Complete quality-control documentation per procedures.
• Operate a forklift for movement of cylinders and calcium carbide.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and related shipment paperwork.
• Work with minimal supervision and exercise independent decision-making.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will perform routine and non-routine visual and physical tests on cylinders before filling and determine whether requalifying and/or repairs are required
• Operate and maintain acetylene generator, compressors, and associated equipment
• Fill and process acetylene cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures
• You will check for cylinder quantities, styles and product, and fill any necessary product
• Complete quality control documentation following company and governmental procedures
• You will operate a forklift truck for the movement of cylinders and calcium carbide containers
• May load and unload trucks and check for cylinder quantities, styles, and products
• You will assist with customer orders and accompanying paperwork for shipment
• Primarily works with minimal supervision utilizing independent decision‑making skills
