Job summary

Promise is hiring a Software Engineer - AI to design and deliver end-to-end generative AI and large language model applications that power government and utility services. You’ll build AI pipelines, prompt tooling, fine-tuning, and RAG systems, turning early concepts into production deployments.

You’ll contribute across the stack, operate in ambiguity with strong technical judgment, and help push automation, efficiency, and real-world impact at scale within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI-powered products and services.
• Ability to design and ship end-to-end AI/ML features.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and making solid technical judgments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver generative AI and LLM applications.
• Build AI pipelines, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and document parsing services.
• Develop and scale RAG systems and AI capabilities across customer use cases.
• Collaborate across teams to drive automation and efficiency in our platform.
• Stay ahead of AI advancements and translate them into roadmap decisions.
