Job summary

Google Public Sector seeks a Software Engineer for the Rapid Innovation team in Reston to develop rapid prototype generative AI applications for government customers. You will work across AI, data and infrastructure, collaborating with Product to shape offerings, and demonstrate capabilities to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5 years of software development experience in Python or similar.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (GCP).
• Experience building data pipelines using vector databases and RAG architectures.
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions with customers.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with current polygraph.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in AI/CS.
• Experience implementing multi-agent systems using LangGraph, CrewAI, ADK; knowledge of LLM-native metrics and state management.
