Qualifications

This role offers the opportunity to shape prototypes, guide emerging ideas through governance, and help move validated AI concepts into production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support proof-of-concept and production-ready Generative AI applications using modern engineering practices
• Evaluate new AI tools, platforms, vendors, and emerging capabilities to determine fit for business use cases
• Develop AI-enabled workflows using large language models, Retrieval Augmented Generation, agentic AI frameworks, document intelligence, APIs, and cloud services
• Turn business ideas into working prototypes by quickly testing concepts and demonstrating technical feasibility
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can improve productivity, decision-making, client service, operational efficiency, or risk management
• Prepare technical input and supporting materials for governance, risk, compliance, model review, and technology approval processes
• Document technical approaches, implementation guidance, reference architectures, and presentation materials to support adoption and knowledge sharing
• Present findings, recommendations, demos, and solution roadmaps to business leaders and technical partners
• Support deployments, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvement of GenAI-enabled solutions
• Stay current on GenAI trends, regulatory considerations, security expectations, and risk management practices, and apply those principles in solution design

Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building web-based or distributed applications
• Hands-on experience developing software with modern programming languages, frameworks, APIs, and cloud services
• Direct experience working with Generative AI technologies, large language models, AI-enabled applications, or related emerging tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguity independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to own complex work from concept through implementation
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
• Exposure to Retrieval Augmented Generation, agentic AI workflows, document intelligence, or workflow automation tools
• Experience working in regulated environments and partnering with governance, risk, compliance, security, or legal teams
• Experience evaluating vendor solutions and making technical recommendations to leadership
• Background supporting proof-of-concept development, experimentation, or innovation initiatives
