Job summary

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is offering a paid 10-week Summer Internship in Digital & Technology focusing on AI and machine learning. Roles involve hands-on development, exposure to generative AI, NLP and ML, and collaboration with senior leaders across Guardian offices.

You will gain industry insights, work on real-time projects, and build a professional network while learning from mentors and leaders. Housing is not provided and roles are based in multiple U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in software development with Python/TypeScript/JavaScript and libraries/frameworks.
• Strong interest in AI concepts including LLMS, agents, MCPs and AI skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Passion for learning and innovation and curiosity about AI advances.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development and implementation of Generative AI applications and digital assistant solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Conduct research and stay updated on NLP, ML and LLM advancements.
• Learn from mentors and build a professional network across the organization.
• Contribute to Guardian's purpose, values and product/service offerings.
