Job summary

Assurant is offering a 12-week AI & Data Science Internship in Atlanta, GA, focused on building Generative AI solutions and data analytics tools. Interns will work on deep learning, NLP, and large language models, gaining hands-on experience with Azure AI, Databricks, and BI visualization.

You'll support 80% analysis and development and 20% project management, delivering insights to leadership and contributing to internal AI-powered solutions.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of undergraduate study in a relevant field (or master's candidates considered).
• Strong experience with Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Python or R and libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Data-cleaning and transformation capabilities.
• Understanding of data science and LLMOps process flows.
• Proficiency with SQL and advanced statistical/machine-learning concepts.
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, LLMs, and Generative AI techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analysis & Development: apply Python, R, SQL, and BI tools to build analytical solutions.
• Process and analyze large-scale data on Azure AI and Databricks platforms.
• Develop AI/ML models including deep learning, computer vision, and NLP tasks.
• Evaluate model accuracy, data quality, and bias; implement LLM-based capabilities.
• Build AI-powered pipelines with CI/CD and governance standards.
