Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Generative AI and Data Science Intern to join our AI & Data Science team. The intern will help build and deploy predictive AI models and GenAI solutions across R&D, Finance, Manufacturing, Legal, and Environment/Safety.

Location is US-based remote with 40 hours per week. Rolling admissions with a minimum of 6 continuous months; preferred start date is rolling; 6+ months commitment required.

Qualifications

• Enrollment at an accredited college or university pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or Post-Doctoral degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Computational Chemistry, or similar.
• 2+ years of programming experience with Python including experience using pandas and scikit-learn.
• 1+ year in data science building predictive ML models or GenAI app development (RAG, hybrid search, UI for apps).
• Fast learner and strong collaborator with high output.
• Strong communication skills to present findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models using tools in the Azure platform (eg. Microsoft Fabric, Azure ML Studio).
• Write data preparation and analysis routines in Python using pandas and scikit-learn.
• Participate in dataset design and statistical modeling discussions.
• Integrate process control solutions with data science models.
• Design and deploy GenAI solutions and apps into production environments.
• Collaborate on full-stack development for small applications and efficient UI/UX workflow.
• Apply and share best practices for designing and delivering GenAI hybrid search.
