The Chemours Company invites applicants to join as a Generative AI and Data Science Intern in Wilmington, Delaware. This full-time internship offers hands-on experience in building predictive models, GenAI applications, and data workflows across enterprise environments.

We seek students or recent graduates pursuing Data Science, Computer Science, AI, or related fields with Python, pandas, and scikit-learn; collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential in a rolling admissions process for

Qualifications

• Enrollment at an accredited college pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or Post-Doctoral degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Computational Chemistry, or other a very similar field to those
• 2+ years of programming experience with Python including experience using pandas and scikit-learn packages
• 1+ year practical experience in data science building predictive ML models (e.g. feature selection, model tuning, data cleansing) and/or 1+ year practical experience developing GenAI applications (RAG, hybrid search, UI for apps)

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models using tools in the Azure platform (eg. Microsoft Fabric, Azure ML Studio)
• Write data preparation and analysis routines in Python using the pandas and scikit-learn packages
• Participate in dataset design and statistical modeling discussions
• Integrate process control solutions with data science models
• Design and deploy GenAI solutions and apps into production enterprise environments
• Collaborate on full-stack development for small applications and efficient UI/UX workflow building
• Apply and share best practices for designing and delivering GenAI hybrid search
