Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Generative AI and Data Science Intern to join our AI & Data Science team. This internship focuses on building predictive AI models and GenAI solutions across R&D, Finance, Manufacturing, Legal, and Environment/Safety functions.

The role emphasizes Python (pandas, scikit-learn), Azure AI tools, and front-end collaboration for enterprise applications, with a rolling start and a minimum six months commitment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment at an accredited college or university pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or Post-Doctoral degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Computational Chemistry, or similar.
• 2+ years of programming experience with Python including pandas and scikit-learn packages.
• 1+ year practical experience in data science building predictive ML models or GenAI applications (e.g., feature selection, model tuning, time-series, or hybrid search).
• Fast learner and strong collaborator able to work with high output.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models using tools in the Azure platform (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure ML Studio).
• Write data preparation and analysis routines in Python using pandas and scikit-learn.
• Participate in dataset design and statistical modeling discussions.
• Integrate process control solutions with data science models.
• Design and deploy GenAI solutions and apps into production enterprise environments.
• Collaborate on full-stack development for small applications and efficient UI/UX workflow building.
• Apply and share best practices for designing and delivering GenAI hybrid search.
