Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a HR Generalist to support onboarding, employee engagement, and HR data management at our Chicago office. You will work closely with Learning and Development to meet business needs and drive a positive work environment.

The role requires managing HR policies, conducting exit interviews, and leading internship and employee development programs. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 1 year of HR generalist experience are preferred.

• 1 year of experience as a HR generalist or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding experiences with Learning and Development partnership and align with business needs.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends for improvement.
• Support HR data changes with shared services and maintain data accuracy in systems.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and communications; analyze data in Excel.
• Foster a values-based culture; coordinate and drive employee engagement activities.
• Lead internship and development programs with support from HR team and leaders.
• Support accommodation requests and draft communications at site and corporate levels.
• Assist with feedback processes, training compliance, and related HR duties.

Compensation for this role is $65,000-$70,000. The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

Work Location & Schedule

This role is based onsite at our Chicago office, located at 2545 W Diversey Ave, 3rd Floor, Chicago, IL 60647. The position follows an onsite work schedule, Monday through Friday.

What Your Day-to-day Will Look Like

• Support with leading a successful on-boarding experience and practices by partnering with the Learning and Development team while understanding the business needs and demands
• Conduct exit interviews and capture data to build trends for continuous improvement
• Lead efforts of the day-to-day support of HR data changes in collaboration with a shared services team
• Assist in the development and implementation of programs or information regarding HR policies, procedures or information; review and analyze data in Excel as needed
• Support a values-based culture by driving the highest level of employee engagement. Assist local engagement committee with coordinating and driving value add engagement activities
• Analyze employee feedback data and build trends and actionable items. Lead employee roundtable discussions
• Assume the role of lead for the local internship program and employee development programs with support from the greater HR team and leaders
• Support various HR duties which include reasonable accommodation requests and drafting pertinent communications at the site level and at the corporate level on the internal social platform
• Support with leader skip-level feedback process, training compliance, etc.

What You’ll Need To Excel

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 1 year of experience as a HR generalist or an equivalent combination of education and experience

It’d Be Great If You Also Have

• Demonstrated functional knowledge of HRIS programs (Workday would be best) and Microsoft Office specifically Microsoft Excel, includingexperience with advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.
