HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in Jacksonville seeks a General Surgeon to lead our General Surgery Residency Program. You will oversee curriculum, accreditation, and evaluation while guiding residents and faculty.

Ideal candidates are board-certified with substantial clinical activity, GME administration experience, and a track record of scholarly activity, teaching, and program development.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in General Surgery per American Board of Surgery.
• Meet ACGME requirements for residency program leadership and governance.
• Three years of prior clinical activity and three years GME admin/academic appointments.
• Scholarly activity in the past five years (publications, reviews, or presentations).
• Willing to combine clinical, administrative and teaching responsibilities.
• Strong administrative and team-building skills; excellent interpersonal communication.
• Current, unrestricted Florida license or ability to obtain one; unrestricted DEA registration.

Responsabilités

• Oversee operation of the General Surgery residency program.
• Develop curriculum, policies, and procedures for the program.
• Maintain ACGME accreditation and state approvals.
• Recruit residents and evaluate their performance.
• Participate in competency evaluations and program action planning.
• Lead faculty development, CCC/PEC/APE oversight, and scholarly activity.
