HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a General Surgery Residency Program Director to establish and lead our General Surgery residency program.

The Program Director will oversee leadership, strategic direction, standards and quality of the residency, and integrate the program with physician practices and hospital clinical services to create an optimal environment for graduate medical education.

Qualifications

• Board certified in General Surgery as a prerequisite.
• Experience leading or teaching in an ACGME General Surgery residency.
• Scholarly activity and publications are expected.
• Schedule comprises 50% clinical work and 50% GME activities.
