General Surgery Residency Program Director – Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced surgeon to lead and develop a new General Surgery residency. This role blends clinical practice with protected time for leadership and administration.

The Program Director will oversee the residency, develop curriculum and policies, ensure ACGME compliance, recruit and mentor residents, coordinate rotations, and collaborate with a dedicated faculty while maintaining an active general surgery practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape a developing General Surgery Residency Program
• Maintain responsibility for the program’s leadership, administration and daily operations
• Develop curriculum, policies and educational initiatives
• Ensure continued compliance with ACGME requirements and state approvals
