Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL seeks an Internal Medicine Program Director to establish and lead our new Internal Medicine Residency Program.

The Program Director will oversee administration, set standards, coordinate with hospital services and physician practices, and foster scholarly activity, with a 50/50 clinical to GME schedule. This is a W2 position in Florida with no state income tax.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Internal Medicine.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as physician core faculty or associate program director in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
• Must participate in ongoing scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications.
• Schedule: 50% clinical and 50% GME focused.
• W2 employee model.
• No state income tax in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and administration of the Internal Medicine residency program.
• Integrate the residency program with physician practices and hospital clinical services to enhance value and quality.
