Job summary

Job description

No call, clinic, orders, or rounding. This opportunity is within the operating room only, assisting in general surgery and robotics procedures. The group is looking for an experienced PA-C or NP/RNFA who is passionate about surgery and enjoys the operating room. This position also offers a clear path for growth, with opportunities to move into management or directorship roles and compensation that reflects the expanded responsibility. The role

• First assisting on general surgery and robotic cases: Case mix will vary dependent on candidates experience and comfort level with opportunity to assist in robotic abdominal, colorectal, OBGYN and urology cases.
• Established surgical services organization with a consistent robotic mix and a stable weekly schedule.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• Approximately 30-35 hours per week
• No on-call responsibilities or weekends
• No clinic, orders or hospital rounding
• Expect days were you will be done before 2pm

Compensation

• Guaranteed base salary of $135,000-150,000, paid annually and based on experience
• Relocation stipend and sign-on bonus offered
• Quarterly bonus opportunity up to $8k per year
• Health insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and malpractice coverage
• 1099 PRN arrangements also considered

Case Mix & Responsibilities

• Assisting in laparoscopic, open and robotic general surgery cases. Opportunity to assist in OBGYN and urology cases.
• Assisting the surgeon with retraction, suction, robot docking, intra abdominal stapling, placing trocars, making incisions, closing fascia and deep tissue layers.

License and Experience

• Candidates must have or be eligible for a Texas PA or NP/RNFA license. Relocation assistance and help with out of state licensure offered!
• Candidates must have at least 1 year of general surgery first assisting experience
