Job summary

U.S. Army 3rd Medical Recruiting Battalion is seeking a General Surgeon to join the Army Health Care team in service to Soldiers and their families.

You will examine, diagnose, consult, prescribe treatments, and perform a wide range of surgical procedures, while engaging in ongoing professional development and leadership training. Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited US medical school or osteopathic school.
• Permanent certificate from ECFMG for foreign graduates.
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States (US/DC/PR).
• Must be eligible for board certification.
• At least one year of approved GME internship.
• Completed training program in general surgery.
• Must be a US citizen to serve on Active Duty.
• Must have permanent US residency for Army Reserve.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe treatments.
• Perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees and their families.
• Participate in continued education programs, trainings, seminars, and conferences.
• Collaborate with Army Medical Department for patient care and medical research.
