Job summary

U.S. Army 3rd Medical Recruiting Battalion seeks a General Surgeon to deliver high-quality medical and surgical care to Soldiers, retirees and their families, while advancing military medicine and patient outcomes.

You will participate in ongoing education, research, and training, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to humanitarian missions and leadership development within the Army Medical Corps.

Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited school and board eligibility in general surgery.
U.S. medical license and permanent residency for Army Reserve.
Must be a U.S. citizen to serve on Active Duty; permanent U.S. residency required for Army Reserve.
Must be eligible for board certification.
Must have completed at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship.
Must have completed a training program in general surgery.

Responsibilities

Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe courses of treatment.
Perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees and their family members.
Participate in continued education programs, trainings and seminars to learn, grow and collaborate with fellow general surgeons.
