Job summary

The U.S. Army 1st Medical Recruiting Battalion is seeking qualified Army General Surgeons to join the military health care team. You'll lead surgical innovations, support patient care, and have unique opportunities for professional growth.

Candidates must have a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree, a current medical license, and be eligible for board certification. The role offers a range of benefits including loan repayment and up to 30 days of paid vacation.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  • Foreign graduates must have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen to serve on Active Duty.

Responsibilities

  • Perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees, and their family members.
  • Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe courses of treatment.
  • Participate in continued education programs and training.
