Job summary

U.S. Army 3rd Medical Recruiting Battalion seeks a General Surgeon to lead surgical care for Soldiers, retirees and family members. You will examine, diagnose, consult and perform surgeries while advancing medical knowledge through ongoing education and collaboration with Army physicians.

Active duty service offers leadership training, diverse procedures, and access to top equipment. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship and medical licensure in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. school.
• Must have current medical license to practice in the United States, DC or PR.
• Must be eligible for board certification.
• Must have completed at least one year of ACGME-accredited internship.
• Must have completed a general surgery training program.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, consult and prescribe treatment for patients.
• Perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees and their families.
• Participate in continued education, trainings and conferences to grow professionally.
• Collaborate with Army Medical Department teams to advance care.
