Job summary

Army Healthcare is seeking a General Surgeon to join the U.S. Army health care team. You will examine, diagnose, consult, and perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees and their families, while advancing surgical innovations and patient outcomes.

You will participate in ongoing education, trainings, and conferences to grow as a leader in medicine. Active Duty or Army Reserve options are available, with access to humanitarian missions and state-of-the-art equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
• Must have a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Must be eligible for board certification in general surgery
• Completed at least one year of an approved GME internship and a training program in general surgery

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe treatments for Soldiers, retirees and their families
• Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures
• Participate in continued education, trainings, seminars and conferences to learn and grow

Education

MD/DO degree from an accredited U.S. school

U.S. medical license

Board eligibility/certification in general surgery
