Job summary

Job description

Goodall Brazier is partnering with a well-regarded commercial general contractor in Los Angeles to hire a General Superintendent for its West LA office. The company’s work is mostly commercial tenant improvement, office, healthcare, life science, aerospace and defense, and industrial/manufacturing projects.

In this role you will:

• Lead ground-up and TI delivery from site start through completion
• Manage, mentor and develop the company’s superintendents, setting standards in the field
• Work with the project team and client to keep schedule, quality and safety on track
• Act as a visible, credible senior presence on site and with clients

This is a senior position with real scope. The company is looking for someone who wants to build the field team as well as deliver projects, and who fits a close-knit, down-to-earth team culture.

Experience required

• Proven track record of managing and mentoring other superintendents
• Currently working at General Superintendent level or equivalent
• Stable career history with one or more general contractors
• Experience across some of the following sectors: commercial TI and office, healthcare, life science, clean rooms and lab conversions, aerospace and defense, industrial/manufacturing
• Confident, personable communicator who is comfortable in front of clients

Not a fit: backgrounds focused mainly on single-family, multifamily, QSR, retail or K-12 construction.

• Base salary of $175,000 – $195,000, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunity
