Job summary

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas is seeking a General Stores Analyst to manage materials, inventory, and supplier performance to meet production needs. You will work with SAP, Power BI, and cross-functional teams to optimize material flow and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities include reporting, KPI tracking, and supporting continuous improvement while adhering to safety and internal control standards. A background in automotive manufacturing and knowledge of the Toyota Supplier Network is

Qualifications

  • Production Control or automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Production Control and/or project management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and AI tools).
  • Experience managing material flow, supplier disruptions, or contingency situations.
  • Knowledge of automotive pre-production and mass production environments.
  • Experience using SAP and/or other ERP systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management (bonus).
  • Experience with Toyota Supplier Network and Plant Production Control environments.
  • Experience with supply chain contingency management within Toyota network.

Responsibilities

  • Manage General Stores inventory and material control processes using SAP and related systems.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels and usage trends.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, production teams, suppliers, and 3PLs to fulfill material needs.
  • Support material receipt, transfer, kitting, staging, and obsolescence activities.
  • Generate reports, analyze inventory data, and track KPIs for decision support.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, policies, and internal controls through regular walks.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas's General Stores Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated General Stores Analyst. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage materials, inventory, and supplier performance to ensure production requirements are met. Reporting to the Manager, Volume Planning – General Stores, this individual will support department goals and company objectives through effective inventory management and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Manager, Volume Planning – General Stores, this individual will support department goals and company objectives through effective inventory management and operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing
  • Manage General Stores inventory and material control processes through SAP and related systems, including part creation, plant transfers (IUTs), SAP Sports reports, PO tracking, Material Changes, system updates, and inventory transactions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels, lead times, reorder points, and usage trends to support material availability and inventory control.
  • Partner with Maintenance-MSP, production teams, suppliers, and 3PL partners to fulfill material requirements, resolve inventory discrepancies, and support cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Support material receipt, transfer, kitting, staging, and obsolescence activities for maintenance and production operations.
  • Generate reports, analyze inventory data, track KPIs, and support operational decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and internal controls through regular safety and shop walks (Genchi Genbutsu).
  • Attend monthly other plant Production Control Leads meetings and prepare semiannual PC Showcase report-outs, including Toyota Documents and processes TBP (Toyota Problem Solving Process), JKK (Process Setup), SWS- Standardized work) and cost tracking.
What you bring
  • Production Control or automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Production Control and/or project management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and AI tools).
  • Experience managing material flow, supplier disruptions, or contingency situations.
  • Knowledge of automotive pre-production and mass production environments.
  • Experience using SAP and/or other ERP systems.
  • Added bonus if you have Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of automotive pre-production and/or mass production environments.
  • Experience working within the Toyota Supplier Network.
  • Experience in a Plant Production Control environment.
  • Experience with supply chain contingency management within the Toyota Supplier and Logistics Network.

This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record acceptable by company standards is required.
