Job Title: General Store Cashier / Stocker

Reports to: General Manager

General Responsibilities:

• Greet customers.
• Inform customers about products and services.
• Establish or identify prices of goods.
• Apply price stickers and scan or key in merchandise prices.
• Calculate total prices and handle transactions.
• Participate in developing window and counter displays under supervision.
• Keep stock rooms organized and clean.
• Interact professionally and friendly with customers.
• Encourage sales and promote the Memphis experience.
• Be knowledgeable about sister venues like Blues City Café, Club 152 on Beale, etc.
• Check inventory upon receiving merchandise to invoice and confirm shipments.
• Handle cash and credit transactions honestly and professionally.
• Control and check outgoing merchandise.
• Reconcile payments with sales, prepare deposits, close tills, and manage floats.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in checkout areas, stock rooms, and store.
• Participate in monthly or quarterly inventory counts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Prioritize workload effectively.
• Remain calm and focused in busy environments.
• Be versatile and participate in other activities as needed.
