Job summary

Solvere Technical Group is seeking a General Laborer to perform general labor tasks at our marine industrial facility in Virginia Beach, VA. The role involves keeping the shop clean, assisting technicians, and supporting various tasks around the boat repair operation.

Regular duties include material handling, inventory assistance, and light maintenance. A forklift certification/experience is preferred and a clean driving record is required; local travel of about 10% may be involved.

• Experience and Certification as a Forklift operator is desired.
• Prior marine industrial environment experience is desired.
• Clean driving record is required.

Job description

The General Laborer shall complete general labor tasking within and around a marine industrial facility located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Must be able to maintain the cleanliness of the facility and be available to assist shop technicians with various tasks on interagency small craft.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the shop and office environment is clean and safe
• Shop and outdoor property maintenance
• Assist with periodic inventory of parts or supplies
• Parts pickups and drop-offs
• Non-Skid removal and installation
• Clean boats and work vehicles
• Assist shop technician with basic maintenance and repair tasks as needed
• Other tasks as needed/assigned

Required and Desired Qualifications:

• Experience and Certification as a Forklift operator is desired
• Prior marine industrial environment experience is desired
• Clean driving record is required

Travel:

• 10% Local Travel for work related responsibilities

Security:

• Must pass a standard background check

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in an industrial, or shipboard environment.
• Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature.
• Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.

Place of Performance:

• This task shall be performed in the Industrial Park Area in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at our boat repair facility.
• Virginia Beach, VA 23462: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Schedule:

• 8 Hour Work shift Monday thru Friday - 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
