Job Description

The General Service Technician role is full-time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role involves delivering exceptional 5-star service to guests by effectively communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions, while ensuring that guest expectations for time and quality are met.

Responsibilities include:

1. Performing basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately according to Monro standards.
2. Handling tire services such as wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair.
3. Conducting vehicle services like lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance (bulb, wiper blade, filter replacements), battery testing, and installations.
4. Completing Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying and communicating additional services needed.
5. Assisting in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking.
6. Maintaining the store's condition and cleanliness to Monro standards.
7. Performing services safely, following safety standards such as wheel torque and oil safety procedures.
8. Test driving vehicles per Monro’s policy, observing traffic laws and safety.
9. Adhering to company policies, governmental standards, and safety regulations.
10. Maintaining technical knowledge through Monro University training.
11. Operating and maintaining equipment safely as per manufacturer guidelines.
12. Performing other duties as assigned, demonstrating initiative, and communicating effectively.
