Job Description

The General Service Technician role is full time or part-time and is an hourly position based on needs of the business. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role involves delivering exceptional 5-star service to guests, effectively communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions, and ensuring guest expectations for time and quality are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and effectively in accordance with Monro standards.
• Perform tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching/plug repairs, mounting, installation, and TPMS service.
• Perform vehicle services such as lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance, battery testing, and installations.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, identifying and communicating additional services needed.
• Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure it is guest-ready at all times.
• Perform services following safety standards and policies, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
• Test drive vehicles according to policy, observing traffic and safety laws.
• Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training courses and modules.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely, including lifts, welders, and brake lathes.
• Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
