Job summary

Meijer is seeking a results‑driven store leadership professional to oversee daily operations and staff development across departments. You will mentor teams, drive sales and ensure excellent customer service while upholding company standards.

This role emphasizes staff staffing and training, operational discipline, and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction throughout all shifts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-3 years of related retail experience.
One year of management experience.
Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) helpful.
Strong communication to provide clear directions and resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

Support staffing, selection and hiring to meet store needs.
Promote career development and succession planning for team members.
Document disciplinary actions and advise on discharge decisions.
Manage P&L, achieve sales goals and reduce shrink for the department.
Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service and uphold Meijer standards.
Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and interactions.
Mentor and coach team members to exceed service and sales targets.
Ensure team training completion and ongoing development.
Spend most time in-store engaging with customers and staff to deliver outstanding service.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
