Responsibilities

• Engaging peers to provide the best possible shopping experience, including checkout.
• Communicating with team members and assigning daily tasks.
• Mentoring and coaching teammates to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Supports training new team members and cross-training high-potential staff.
• Assist leadership with department scheduling and store operations.
• Ensure product freshness through rotation and dating policies.
• Uphold food safety standards and safe working practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays as applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture and teamwork.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to meet goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments.
