Job summary

Hy-Vee in Minnesota is seeking a GM Department Manager in General Merchandise to lead department standards for service, pricing, cleanliness, and profitability while coordinating staff to deliver a helpful, friendly shopping experience.

You will recruit, train, and supervise department employees, manage weekly schedules, oversee display and inventory, and ensure safety, hygiene, and compliant operations in a fast-paced retail setting. This is a non-exempt, hourly role with room for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1–3 years of similar or related work experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate department staff.
