Job summary

FCC Environmental Services in Omaha, NE seeks a General Manager to oversee operations, strategic growth, and team leadership within waste and recycling. The role focuses on municipal/regional growth, building government relationships, and driving service contracts while balancing safety, compliance, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive waste/recycling experience, strong P&L management, and a track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver contract success

Qualifications

• Requires experience in managing (post) collection operations.
• Experience overseeing annual P&L of $25M+ preferred.
• Proven ability to hire, train and lead an operations team to contract success.

Responsibilities

• Manages P&L for internal/external sales, procurement, operations, transportation, safety, etc.
• Establishes and manages long-term goals aligned with company standards.
• Manages 4–5 direct reports and indirect reports.
• Creates effective operational teams.
• Manages vendor relationships to ensure contract compliance and client satisfaction.
• Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture across all employees.
• Oversees transportation and logistics for collection routes.
