Job summary

Waste Resource Management (WRM) seeks a General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across trucking, wastewater processing, composting, and railyard operations. You will guide sales, administration, project management, service delivery, and plant processing, leading a team of managers and staff to exceed annual goals.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will develop the market strategy, optimize resources, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5–7 years of operations leadership experience in environmental services or industrial logistics.
• Strong financial acumen with 3–5 years of P&L responsibility.
• Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and cross-functional teams.
• Experience implementing safety programs and IT infrastructure in operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all operational and sales functions across trucking, wastewater treatment, composting, and railyard logistics.
• Optimize deployment of resources to meet current and future demand.
• Develop and execute the strategic direction aligned with market opportunities.
• Build and retain a high-performing workforce with growth opportunities.
• Establish and improve processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and predictability.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Manage fleet, equipment, and assets for safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Safety, IT, Finance, and Marketing.
• Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Oversee P&L and meet financial targets.
