Job summary

EQI in Berea, KY seeks a General Manager for Value Added Services and an industrial paint and warehousing facility. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, the role leads daily operations, safety programs, quality, and customer service, with responsibilities spanning staff development and continuous improvement.

The position requires 15+ years in manufacturing leadership, and a Bachelor’s in Business Management or related field.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in leadership roles within manufacturing facilities.
• Proven track record of managing painting and/or light manufacturing facilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field from a four-year accredited college or university (preferred).
• Proficient knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
• Demonstrated knowledge of probability, statistical quality control and design of experiments.
• Lean / Continuous Improvement culture with Six Sigma experience.
• Experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Establish a safety culture by following and strictly enforcing EQI’s EHS Program as well as federal, state and local rules and regulations.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring peak efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Review workflows, staffing and space requirements, and equipment layout while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer service standards.
• Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement across the organization.
• Maintain ISO yearly accreditations.
• Meet regularly with functional managers to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans to optimize productivity.
