Job summary

EQI Ltd. in Berea, KY is seeking an EHS & Quality Technician to support the Safety and Quality Management System, ensure product EHS and quality compliance, and resolve issues with a data-driven mindset.

You will work with EHS, Quality Engineers, Operations, and Supply Chain on site and at the corporate office, perform inspections, aid root-cause analysis, and help maintain training and documentation. Strong attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of EHS & quality experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard control principles, and safety best practices.
• Certifications in Quality and/or Continuous Improvement preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 preferred).
• SDS management and lean manufacturing principles understood.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of EHS & quality procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure conformance to specifications for incoming and finished products.
• Conduct and support safety and quality inspections (in-process, EHS, incoming/outgoing, finish paint).
• Assist with new employee orientations for EHS and Quality topics.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for EHS incidents or quality nonconformances.
• Coordinate with site leadership to manage safety & quality expectations with employees and vendors.
• Maintain EHS documentation, records, permits, and compliance reports.
• Oversee training matrices and ensure training completion.
