Job summary

EQI Ltd. in Berea, KY is seeking an Industrial Paint Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead the paint department and oversee operations, staffing, and training of the 2nd shift painters.

The role combines hands-on painting expertise with supervisory responsibilities for scheduling, safety, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in supervisory roles within paint or manufacturing, experience with powder coating and wet paint processes, and a valid driver’s license, with

Qualifications

• 2+ years supervisory or leadership experience in a paint, powder coating, or manufacturing environment.
• Powder coating and wet paint experience required.
• Driver’s License (Required).
• Certifications for painting or body work or appropriate trade school certification preferred.
• Experience leading or managing hourly production employees.
• Proficiency with technical machinery and tooling.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety protocols are followed by all paint and production team members on 2nd shift.
• Directly supervise, schedule, and coordinate all 2nd shift paint department employees.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop 2nd shift painters to build a skilled, high‑performing team.
• Enforce attendance, conduct, and performance standards; support performance conversations and corrective action.
• Coordinate shift hand‑off with 1st shift paint leadership for continuity of schedules and equipment status.
• Serve as primary contact for 2nd shift paint department issues; escalate to the GM as needed.
• Partner with GM and HR on hiring, onboarding, and training within the department.
• Monitor, compile, and report daily production, quality, and safety metrics.
