Job summary

Bodycote is seeking a General Manager in Hebron, KY to lead Thermal Spray services under the Director of Operations. You will drive safety, quality, on-time delivery, and plant profitability while developing the leadership team and maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires extensive Lean/Six Sigma experience, strategic leadership, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Requires BA or BS in business or related field; MS/MA preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of industrial leadership experience in a complex environment.
• At least 10 years of lean concepts and Lean/Six Sigma project implementation.
• Minimum of 10 years of proactive management of labor performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide full leadership and accountability for safety, quality, on-time delivery, and P&L for the ADE Surface Technology Plant.
• Achieve safety, quality, service, cost, business development, and sales growth goals.
• Drive customer service, sales growth, and local business development.
• Recruit, train, and develop the plant leadership team and staffing.
• Set standards and drive operational excellence across the plant.
• Contribute to systemic improvements using EDGE methodologies.
• Develop long-term customer relationships and drive strategic growth.
• Plan capital equipment and manage overhead costs.
• Oversee workforce planning, hiring, and policy compliance.
• Handle financial functions in a fiscally responsible manner.
