Job summary

Acuity Insurance seeks a General Manager - Talent to lead talent acquisition, performance, and retention within Human Resources. This senior leader shapes HR strategy, ensures legal compliance, and aligns talent initiatives with business goals while fostering a culture of belonging and employee success.

The role reports to the General Counsel/Vice President - Human Resources and drives strategic HR initiatives across the organization, including budgeting, analytics, and policy development for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational behavior, or related field; master’s or certifications preferred.
• Extensive leadership experience in HR talent management with progression into senior roles.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive information.
• Experience in budgeting and resource management; proficiency in HR software, analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement talent strategies aligned with company goals and profitability.
• Establish and enforce HR policies in line with labor laws and industry standards.
• Oversee recruitment to attract top talent and ensure cultural fit.
• Serve as advisor in employee relations, handling conflicts and grievances.
• Oversee performance appraisal and improvement plans; guide managers.
• Design and implement employee training and development programs.
• Plan and oversee employee engagement surveys and dialogues.
• Utilize data and analytics to generate reports for decision‑making.
• Develop and manage HR department budget and resource allocation.
• Lead HR talent personnel and foster high performance.
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with documentation.
