Job summary

Runza National Inc. (operated by Plum Market Food Service – Omaha Eppley Airfield) is seeking a General Manager to lead all operations at the Runza airport location in Omaha.

You will ensure guest service, financial performance, and compliance with airport standards, while developing the team and maintaining service excellence. This hands-on leadership role requires managing high-volume operations, scheduling, inventory, and vendor partnerships, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and guest

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–5 years of management experience in food service, retail, or hospitality.
• Proven success managing high‑volume operations and leading diverse teams.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of inventory systems and basic financial reports.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a background check and obtain airport badging.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• ServSafe or equivalent certification.
• Familiarity with POS and back‑office systems such as Toast, Microsoft Office, ADP, and other platforms.

• Oversee daily operations of the Runza airport location, ensuring smooth, efficient, and guest-focused service.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team through training, clear expectations, motivation, and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all airport regulations and food safety standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory, control costs, and monitor product rotation and stocking procedures.
• Schedule and manage Team Member shifts to ensure optimal coverage and labor efficiency.
• Resolve guest concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor financial performance and drive results through attention to margin, labor, and waste reduction.
• Partner with leadership and support teams to meet operational goals and implement best practices.
• Actively work alongside the team on the floor and behind the counter to support service execution and identify opportunities for workflow improvement.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and security standards throughout the location.
• Represent Runza + Plum Market values and service standards to guests, vendors, and airport partners.

About the Role:
