Job summary

Civitech is a remote-first public benefit company focused on transforming Democratic campaigns through RunningMate. The General Manager role leads RunningMate as a stand-alone unit, owning revenue growth, budget, people, and decision rights to drive strategic impact and measurable success.

The GM will craft the 2027 plan and communicate it as the premier ambassador to the market. They will oversee a cross-functional team, align budgets and GTM investments, and ensure cohesive collaboration

Qualifications

6+ years in progressive politics or related leadership roles.
Demonstrated revenue growth and P&L ownership in a startup or growth-stage company.
Experience building/scaling products, businesses, or revenue streams.

Responsibilities

Lead the RunningMate business unit with ~10 cross-functional team members.
Set strategy for growth, budgets, GTM, and target customers.
Own P&L and drive revenue growth and financial health.
Align product, engineering, marketing, and partnerships around a cohesive strategy.
Shape and prioritize the product roadmap in market context.
Build relationships with campaigns, state parties, and key political stakeholders.
Develop RunningMate’s annual strategy and 2027 plan.
