TFC Recycling in Chesapeake, Virginia is seeking a General Manager to lead recycling, transfer station, and transportation operations across multiple facilities. The role focuses on safety, financial performance, and team development within a locally owned company serving communities since 1973.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial and operational leadership with a passion for safety, employee development, and continuous improvement, reporting to the Senior Vice President/COO.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of management or leadership experience in the solid waste industry.
• Associate's degree in a related field.
• Experience managing budgets, P&L, and performance metrics.
• Strong understanding of recycling, transportation, fleet management, or transfer station operations.
• Knowledge of environmental, transportation, and workplace safety regulations.
• Ability to develop teams and drive measurable results.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership of recycling facilities, MRFs, transfer stations, and transportation operations.
• Manage divisional budgets, P&L, capex, and KPIs.
• Develop strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, cost control, and profitability.
• Establish performance objectives and ensure accountability across departments.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to support business growth.
