DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to oversee national warehouse operations, drive strategic improvements, and lead a dedicated team. You will manage a broad scope of activities from receiving to shipping, while maintaining strong customer relationships and upholding safety and efficiency across facilities.

The role emphasizes P&L responsibility, cost optimization, and collaboration with vendors and leadership to sustain DHL’s industry-leading performance in contract

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in 3PL and/or Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• P&L management preferred.
• Project management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support and developing a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, oversee operational and personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L) influence; prepare and present MB/R to customers with team collaboration.
