Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Kansas seeks a General Manager to lead the restaurant team, train crew and drive operational excellence, ensuring food is prepared safely and service is fast and friendly.

You will open/close the restaurant, develop schedules, manage inventory, monitor compliance with health laws, and implement marketing plans to improve sales while delivering great guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business/restaurant mgmt preferred
• Minimum of two years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred)
• Ability to work a minimum 5-day week with irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
• Knowledge of federal/state health and sanitation laws and regulations
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to follow directions autonomously
• Basic accounting and computer skills
• Problem solving and conflict resolution abilities
• Adherence to uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops
• Directs drive-in employees to ensure all food service standards are met
• Directs opening/closing duties and prepares staff schedules
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost control procedures
• Maintains employment records and payroll records
• Focuses on customer service and resolves guest requests and complaints
• Interviews and hires staff to achieve staffing levels
• Prepares operational reports and develops action plans to address sales trends
• Develops and implements a marketing plan
