Job summary

Buona in Naperville, IL, is seeking a GMIT role designed to develop future General Managers. The Managing Partner Program offers a path to ownership, profit sharing, and long-term leadership within Buona. The role emphasizes sales targets, staff development, and strong operational controls.

You will lead shifts, manage budgets, and drive performance across restaurant operations, with opportunities for advancement into senior leadership and ownership track.

Qualifications

• Experience leading 10+ team members per shift
• Budget, payroll, revenue, and forecasting knowledge
• Strong knowledge of restaurant practices, concepts, and procedures
• Excellent administrative, multitasking, organizational, and prioritizing skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets
• Recognize revenue areas and development strategies to impact sales
• Enforce advertising, marketing plans, HR and training materials
• Manage and control direct expenses
• Direct labor, food cost variances, repairs and maintenance, discounts and other direct expenses
• Select, retain, supervise, and train all employees
• Conduct quarterly reviews
• Adhere to established training programs
• Determine advancement/termination of staff
• Develop employees into shift managers
• Provide guidance to the team and lead them toward success
