Job summary

Sports Facilities Management, LLC seeks a General Manager for Williamsburg Wharf Glice Rink in Brooklyn, NY. You will drive guest experiences and operating performance, lead cross-functional teams, and implement major initiatives to exceed client expectations.

The role demands strong leadership in F&B and entertainment settings, budget oversight, and staff development, with a focus on safety and compliance in a dynamic arena environment.

Qualifications

• Proven management and leadership experience in the food and beverage, recreational, and entertainment industry.
• Operational knowledge of F&B, entertainment, and sport clubs as well as parties, corporate events, and teambuilding preferred.
• Prior experience in contracting or overseeing others who have sold corporate sponsorships, birthday parties, corporate parties, tournaments, leagues, camps, fitness programming, and other related services preferred
• Prior experience managing marketing programs preferred
• Operational knowledge of risk management
• Sports programming and sports event operations expertise required
• Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality, related field, or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze operations to evaluate performance and identify cost reduction or program improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with ownership and support teams to discuss issues and resolve problems.
• Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities to fund operations and improve efficiency.
• Direct human resources activities and approve HR plans.
• Plan and implement policies to maximize returns and productivity.
• Prepare and present reports on activities, expenses, budgets, and governing statutes.
• Schedule training seminars for team members on operational, safety, and legal responsibilities
• Serve as liaison between organizations, shareholders, and outside entities.
• Provide strategic direction to team members and research new technologies for efficiency.
