Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking a General Manager in Hutchinson, KS to lead a team and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You’ll train Crew, schedule shifts, manage inventory, and uphold safety and quality standards across all drive-in operations.

Responsibilities include directing staff, resolving guest requests, reporting financial trends, and developing local marketing plans. The role requires leadership, communication, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
• Must work a minimum 5 days per week with irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership and verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches crew, carhops and management staff to meet standards.
• Prepares employee schedules and monitors staffing levels.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and maintains records.
• Performs opening/closing duties and prepares operational reports.
• Develops action plans to address unfavorable financial or sales trends.
• Develops and implements local marketing plans.
