Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our drive-in team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will train and coach crew, manage daily operations, and develop action plans to improve sales and profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, a solid understanding of labor laws, scheduling, inventory control, and customer service excellence, with a willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies preferred.
• Minimum 2 years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Willing to work a 5-day week with 4 closing shifts (or 4-day week) including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health/sanitation laws.
• Leadership and supervisory skills; strong verbal and written communication.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work autonomously; multitask and solve problems.
• Problem solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Adherence to appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors, and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs drive-in employees to meet food service standards.
• Prepares employee schedules; adjusts staffing as needed.
• Maintains inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Completes payroll and employment records.
• Resolves guest requests and handles complaints with supervision.
• Interviews and hires staff to maintain staffing levels.
• Develops action plans to address unfavorable sales trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
